LETO Pregnancy Care
We want you to have a healthy and strong pregnancy so that you can take care of your baby, return to your favourite activities safely and confidently, and feel great!
Your body goes through many changes during pregnancy, which can lead to discomfort in the pelvic area and other pelvic health problems such as urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
- During pregnancy, postural changes, muscle imbalances, and altered alignment may lead to pelvic girdle pain, hip pain, swelling in the legs and pelvic area, lower or mid back pain, tingling and numbness in your hands and fingers, and leaking of urine. The great news is that a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist can help alleviate and even treat these symptoms.
- We utilise a combination of flexibility and strength training, pelvic floor muscle training, biofeedback, relaxation techniques, manual therapy, education, lifestyle changes, specialised interventions, and tailored exercises to help you prepare for labor and recover during the postpartum period.
- It is also essential to address any issues experienced during pregnancy to prevent back pain, pelvic pain, heaviness or dragging in the pelvic region, prolapse, incontinence and abdominal separation later in life.
During your consultations, we will always take the time to make sure you understand your prenatal presentation. We will help you feel reassured about the future and prepare you for your recovery from pregnancy and childbirth.
We have designed an optimum pregnancy care pathway, which includes three milestone pelvic health assessments.
